JEDDAH — The Saudi Pro League has named French striker Karim Benzema as the 2024–25 Roshn Saudi League Player of the Season, following a commanding campaign in which he led Al Ittihad to the league title.

Benzema’s selection capped off a standout year for the former Real Madrid captain, who played a decisive role in Al Ittihad’s title run, contributing key goals and performances in high-stakes matches that shaped the season's outcome.

The announcement was made via the league’s official channels, accompanied by a celebratory video highlighting Benzema’s impact and influence throughout the campaign.

He was described simply as “the best this season.”

Since arriving in Jeddah in the summer of 2023, Benzema has quickly adapted to Saudi football, silencing early-season doubts with consistent performances and leadership.

His goal-scoring presence, combined with his vision and control in the attacking third, turned him into a cornerstone of Al Ittihad’s success.
