London — British Secretary of Defense John Healey received Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman at the British Ministry of Defense headquarters in London on Tuesday.
During the meeting, British and Saudi ministers of defense reviewed the close historical relations between the two friendly countries, strategic cooperation in the military and defense fields, and opportunities to develop them to achieve common interests. They also discussed regional and international developments, issues of common interest, and the efforts made in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Prince Khalid bin Bandar; Chief of the General Staff Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili; Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid Al-Bayari; Advisor to Minister of Defense for Intelligence Affairs Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif; CEO of the Saudi-British Defense Cooperation Program and Head of the Salam Project, Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz Al-Qudairy; Military Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in London and Dublin Maj. Gen. Riyadh Abu Abah; and a number of officials.
Several senior British defense officials, including Minister of State at the Ministry of Defense Lord Vernon Coaker, and Chief of the Defense Staff Admiral Tony Radakin also attended the meeting.
