Museums Commission and Philharmonie de Paris sign agreement to boost cooperation

RIYADHThe Saudi Museums Commission, in partnership with the Philharmonie de Paris in France, signed an executive program for cooperation in the fields of museums and music. This comes as part of strengthening cultural relations between the two countries and developing joint projects that reflect Saudi Arabia's ambitions in the cultural sector.

The executive program, signed by Ibrahim Al-Sanousi, Acting CEO of the Museums Commission, and Olivier Mantet, CEO of the Paris Philharmonic, covers several areas of cooperation, most notably: the exchange of loans of historical musical pieces and instruments, the organization of traveling art programs and exhibitions, and the holding of events and workshops at the Tariq Abdul Hakeem Museum located in the historic Jeddah area.

It also includes the development of specialized training programs and the launch of educational initiatives targeting children and families, with the goal of developing musical awareness and promoting community culture. The program also aims to exchange expertise and knowledge, host researchers and experts from both sides in specialized seminars and discussion groups and cooperate in the field of scientific publishing related to permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Al-Sanousi emphasized that signing this executive program is a pivotal step in consolidating the cultural partnership between Saudi Arabia and France and will contribute to developing the Tariq Abdul Hakim Museum into an inspiring interactive platform for learning and experiencing music.

Olivier Mantet expressed his pride in cooperating with Museums Commission, praising Saudi Arabia's cultural vision 2030 and emphasizing that this collaboration embodies the spirit of constructive cultural exchange and lays the foundation for future projects that enhance artistic and societal dialogue between the two peoples.
