Nissan Formula E Team delivered a stellar performance at the Monaco E-Prix, securing a podium finish in a race filled with high-intensity action and strategic manoeuvres.

Oliver Rowland dominated the Monaco E-Prix weekend, winning Saturday’s race and securing pole before finishing second on Sunday. After starting P2 in Sunday’s race, he took the lead before halftime, maximized his Attack Mode boosts, and executed crucial late overtakes to seal his third victory during this season.

Meanwhile, teammate Norman Nato progressed from 18th to 14th, showing a steady pace in challenging conditions. These results strengthened Rowland’s championship position and Nissan’s standing in the teams’ battle.

Earlier in the weekend, Rowland had excelled in wet conditions, earning his first pole of the season and finishing second in a chaotic race. Despite briefly losing a position, he strategically used Attack Mode to defend his podium spot, extending his Drivers’ Championship lead to 48 points. NATO also made gains in his home race, climbing from 15th to 13th. Nissan retained second in the Teams’ Championship and leads the Manufacturers’ standings heading into their home event, the Tokyo E-Prix on May 17-18.

Oliver Rowland, Nissan Formula E Team, said: "It doesn’t get much better than first and second in Monaco! Yesterday, we timed the Pit Boost and Attack Mode perfectly for the win. Today, the second is still great, a strong weekend with victory and pole. I’ll keep this momentum for Tokyo, our home race and a track I love!"

Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal, Nissan Formula E Team, said: "It’s special to have such a successful weekend during the first-ever double-header here in Monaco. Oli capitalized on our Attack Mode and Pit Boost strategies to ensure the win on Saturday. Today, we were delighted to take pole and a second-place finish, he was flying throughout qualifying. The whole team is looking forward to Tokyo, striving for an even better result at our home race."

Looking ahead, the team aims to build on this momentum as they prepare for the next round of the championship, striving for even greater success in the coming races.

Kalyana Sivagnanam, GCEO of Petromin Corporation, added: “Formula E represents the future of motorsport, and our collaboration with Nissan allows us to showcase our commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.”

With Monaco now behind them, Nissan Formula E Team and Electromin look ahead to the next challenge, determined to further cement their presence on the championship stage.
