Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — Inspection teams from the Transport General Authority (TGA) have begun early operations at entry points to Makkah, the holy sites, and Madinah, as part of extensive preparations to serve pilgrims during the Hajj season of 2025.

Deployed across more than 20 locations, the TGA teams are operating around the clock to assist pilgrims arriving in Makkah and Madinah. Their daily operations focus on ensuring a seamless experience for pilgrims and verifying that all licensed operators adhere to approved regulations.

The TGA has instructed all transport operators to comply with the approved regulations during the Hajj season. These include using designated routes, securing operating licenses, and avoiding entry into Hajj-regulated areas without prior authorization.

The authority also emphasized that drivers must wear the approved uniforms and obtain vehicle operating cards.

The TGA underscored its continued collaboration with government agencies to ensure safe and secure transportation for all pilgrims. It further advised the public that reports and inquiries can be submitted via the unified number (19929) or through the TGA’s Beneficiary Care account on social media.
