RIYADH — The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a warning of heavy rainfall and potential flooding in various regions of Saudi Arabia until Tuesday. People are advised to take necessary precautions, avoid flood-prone areas, and adhere to safety guidelines shared via various outlets of media.
The Makkah region is expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by hail and strong winds while the Riyadh region will witness moderate to heavy rain.
Other regions that are expected to be affected by rain include Madinah, Hail, Qassim, Northern Borders, Eastern Province, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan. The northern Najran region may experience lighter rainfall, the directorate said in a statement.
