RIYADH
— The Saudi Ministry of Education (MOE) will participate in the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, set to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from April 9 to 13.

The Kingdom will present 134 inventions at the event, alongside more than 1,000 innovations from 35 countries.

Among the Saudi exhibitors, 80% will come from universities and companies, while the remaining 20% will include private-sector inventors and researchers.

The Saudi delegation will consist of 161 students, both male and female, from general education, universities, and technical training institutions.

These students, along with faculty members, will compete for seven major awards in categories ranging from marine safety and environmental technology to healthcare, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

Prof. Nasser Al-Aqili, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and head of the Saudi delegation, emphasized that the country's participation reflects its commitment to supporting talented students.

He explained that the goal is to boost student involvement in international scientific forums and align their efforts with national priorities in research, development, and innovation.

To prepare for the exhibition, the MOE organized training programs aimed at helping students communicate effectively on the international stage.

The ministry hosted a training session in Riyadh, in collaboration with the Salam Project for Cultural Communication. The King Salman Science Oasis also worked with the ministry to organize specialized workshops, connecting Saudi inventors with local and international experts to encourage knowledge exchange.
