RIYADH — The General Directorate of Civil Defense urged people across Saudi Arabia to exercise caution and vigil amid forecasts of thunderstorms and heavy rains that are expected to continue until Monday.
Saudi citizens and expatriates are advised to stay in safe locations, avoid flood-prone areas and valleys, and refrain from swimming in them. According to the forecast, dust-stirring winds will blow and moderate to heavy rain may fall in Makkah and Riyadh regions.
Moderate to heavy rains are expected in Tabuk, Madinah, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Eastern Province, Hail, Qassim, Al-Baha, and Asir regions. The Jazan region will see light to moderate rains, while the Najran region will experience light rainfall.
