MAKKAH — The Control Center in Makkah is utilizing more than 200 smart wall screens to monitor security operations during the Umrah season in Ramadan, ensuring the smooth implementation of security plans across the holy city.
The center oversees security measures at Makkah’s 11 main entrances and more than eight security checkpoints, ensuring seamless entry and exit for pilgrims.
Security operations are divided among seven security sectors, allowing real-time monitoring to ensure that all plans are executed safely and efficiently.
Additionally, surveillance operations cover all districts and neighborhoods of Makkah, with live data transmission to the operations room at the Grand Mosque, which coordinates security measures within the mosque premises.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the center operates around the clock, working in coordination with security sectors to manage pilgrim movement, monitor crowds in real time, and enforce security plans. It is directly linked to the Security Operations Center in the Grand Mosque and the Unified Operations Center 911 for seamless communication and rapid response.
