MAKKAH —
The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has introduced special carts for women to perform Tahallul (the ritual of exiting from the state of Ihram after Umrah) as a new service at the Grand Mosque.

The authority emphasized that the service is designed to maintain privacy for female pilgrims and is managed by an all-female staff.

The process is facilitated using fully sterilized and safe tools, ensuring ease of movement, particularly during peak times.

The carts are located next to Bab Al-Marwah, providing accessibility and convenience for worshippers.

At the beginning of Ramadan, the General Authority launched the operation of Tahallul in the courtyard of the Grand Mosque for the first time, allowing male pilgrims to complete their Umrah by shaving their heads or cutting their hair at five designated locations opposite the Marwa area.

To accommodate the large number of worshippers, mobile units equipped with fully sterilized tools have also been introduced.

The initiative aims to provide innovative solutions that enhance the pilgrimage experience, with a specialized and experienced team supervising operations to ensure efficiency, speed, and adherence to the highest quality and safety standards.
