Central Hajj Committee reviews preparations and development projects for Hajj 2025

MAKKAH — A meeting of the Central Hajj Committee, chaired by Deputy Emir of Makkah Prince Saud bin Mishaal, reviewed the overall readiness of services provided to pilgrims during Ramadan and the forthcoming Hajj season. The meeting was held under the directives of Emir of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.

Prince Saud was briefed on the work of the agencies that provide their services to visitors to the House of God during the holy month. The committee discussed the latest developments related to the Hajj 2025 plans, and the emergency plan of the General Directorate of Civil Defense for Hajj, which involves participation of 43 agencies.

During the meeting, Kidana Company presented its development projects for Hajj 2025, including shading and cooling the paths at the holy sites of Mina and Arafat, a project to mitigate the effects of heat stress in the areas surrounding the Namirah Mosque, two-story toilet complexes, replacing concrete stairs in high areas with electric stairs, preparing additional pressure boxes in the holy site of Mina, mitigating the effects of heat stress in the Jabal Al-Rahmah area, and a project to plant trees and increase vegetation cover.

The committee also discussed a number of other topics on the agenda and made the necessary recommendations regarding them.
