MAKKAH The Makkah Education Department has announced the suspension of in-person classes for students in all schools in the Makkah city as well as in the governorates of Al-Jumum, Al-Kamil and Bahra on Tuesday following rain forecast.

"Based on what was reported by the National Center of Meteorology and in order to ensure everyone's safety, it has been decided to suspend classes in all schools in the Holy Capital, and the governorates of Al-Jumum, Al-Kamil and Bahra on Tuesday, and the classes will be conducted remotely via the Madrasati platform,” the department said in a statement.

The Umm Al-Qura University also announced the suspension of in-person classes on Tuesday, saying that the classes will be held remotely. This is based on the weather forecast of the National Center of Meteorology. The university indicated that the decision will be applicable to the university headquarters, offices and colleges under it in all governorates in the Makkah region.
