Saudi interior minister discusses counter-narcotics cooperation with Syrian officials in Riyadh

RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif received Deputy Head of Syrian Intelligence Mouaffaq Doukhi and Director of Syria’s Counter-Narcotics Administration Khaled Eid at his office in Riyadh.

During the meeting, both sides discussed key issues of mutual concern, particularly strengthening collaboration in combatting drug trafficking and tracking down traffickers.

The discussions reflect ongoing efforts to enhance security cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Syria.

The meeting was attended by Director of Syria’s Criminal Investigations Administration Marwan Al-Ali, alongside senior officials from both countries.

Earlier, the Syrian delegation visited the General Directorate of Public Security and the General Directorate of Narcotics Control in Riyadh.

They were briefed on security operations and the latest technologies utilized in narcotics control and law enforcement in the Kingdom.
