RIYADH — Schools across Saudi Arabia commenced on Sunday celebrations of "Founding Day," which falls annually on February 22, under the theme "Our Story."

A diverse range of special programs and activities were organized to commemorate this significant national occasion. Donning special costumes to mark the occasion, students are enthusiastically participating in the festivities, including artistic performances.

The Ministry of Education outlined a comprehensive plan encompassing a variety of cultural and educational activities designed for students, staff, parents, and the community. Key initiatives include seminars and educational sessions on the historical milestones of the Saudi state since its founding, as well as cultural and historical competitions to enhance students' knowledge of the Kingdom's history and foster a strong sense of national pride.

Diverse activities of the celebration will continue for two weeks as part of an integrated communication strategy. This initiative aims to deepen understanding of the Kingdom's history and inculcate national values in the hearts and minds of students and members of all educational sectors.
