ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The wreckage of a plane that went missing in Alaska has been located, with all 10 people on board believed to have perished, the U.S. Coast Guard announced on Friday.

According to a report by ABC News, the Cessna 208B Caravan was discovered 34 miles southeast of Nome, resting on a frozen sea.

The Coast Guard confirmed that three bodies have been recovered from the site, while the remaining seven passengers are presumed to be inside the wreckage, which remains inaccessible due to its condition.

The aircraft was en route from Unalakleet to Nome on Thursday when it lost contact with air traffic control.
