RIYADH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday.

During an official discussion session, they discussed aspects of bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Germany as well as ways to support and enhance them. Major regional and international developments and the efforts made towards addressing them were also figured in their talks.

The German president was accorded an official reception ceremony during which the Crown Prince welcomed Steinmeier to Saudi Arabia, wishing him and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay. On his part, the German president expressed his thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and warm reception accorded to him and the accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by Emir of Riyadh Prince Faisal bin Bandar; Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd; Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal; Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif; Minister of the National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar; Saudi Ambassador to Germany Prince Abdullah bin Khalid; Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah; Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban; Minister of Commerce Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi; Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan; and Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih.

On the German side, the meeting was attended by Member of the German Federal Parliament and Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office Katja Kuehl, German Ambassador to the Kingdom Michael Kindsgrab, and a number of officials.
