RIYADH — The Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, inaugurated the Sustainability Innovation Week pavilion on Monday. This launch aligns with Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) under the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), which runs through until December 13.
The pavilion showcases 150 innovative projects designed to enhance food and water security, highlighting the Kingdom’s progress in advancing research and innovation to address pressing environmental challenges. These initiatives are integral to Saudi Arabia’s strategy to tackle critical global and local environmental issues, with sustainability and essential needs as key priorities.
The launch of the pavilion underscores the Kingdom’s dedication to fostering global collaboration within the scientific community. It also emphasizes the importance of integration and knowledge exchange to shape a sustainable future.
