AMMAN — Saudi Arabia stressed the importance of concerted efforts at the regional and international levels to confront the challenges of the water sector and overcome its scarcity in many countries in the region. Addressing the 16th session of the Arab Ministerial Water Council and the sixth Arab Water Conference in Amman, Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shaibani also highlighted Saudi Arabia's continuous efforts to support water issues and work to provide its services with high quality and efficiency. Al-Shaibani is leading the Saudi delegation participating in the conference.
Dr. Al-Shaibani underscored the importance of enhancing Arab and international cooperation and integration to confront the challenges of the water sector around the world and find effective solutions to overcome them. This is in addition to providing opportunities to exchange expertise and experiences between countries with the aim of achieving maximum benefit from water and supporting joint efforts to provide high-quality water services in line with the aspirations of leaders and peoples.
He praised the great efforts made by Saudi Arabia to provide water and improve its services, in addition to its constant endeavor to support water issues regionally and internationally.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi delegation to the Arab Ministerial Water Council had participated in the 18th meeting of the Executive Office of the Council, and the 23rd meeting of the Technical Scientific Advisory Committee, over the course of three days before the start of the activities of the sixteenth session.
