OSAKA Prince Badr bin Abdullah, Saudi minister of culture and chairman of the Steering Committee for the Kingdom's Participation in International Expos, visited on Monday Saudi Arabia’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan, as part of his official visit to Japan.

Prince Badr toured the sections of the Saudi pavilion, and reviewed its design and the latest construction work in the pavilion at the headquarters of the World Expo.

Expo 2025 will be organized and sanctioned by the Bureau International des Expositions, in Osaka. It will take place for six months during 2025, opening on 13 April and closing on 13 October 2025.

During the tour, the minister listened to a briefing about the visitor experience and the sections of the Saudi pavilion, which provides knowledge content for the three pillars, such as the Kingdom's history in the form of a story that takes participants on a journey to explore the Kingdom's cultures, traditions, and values that form the basic pillars of its identity. The pavilion highlights the major radical transformation taking place in the Kingdom today and its contributions to creating a better future for the world. The design of the Kingdom’s pavilion participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, was completed by the leading architectural firm "Foster + Partners."

The design, inspired by the concept of environmental responsibility, includes elements with low carbon emissions, contains an energy-saving lighting system, employs rainwater collection technologies, and is equipped with solar panels to produce clean energy.
