RIYADH — Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has been crowned with the “Most Influential Personality in the Last Decade” award, during the MENA Effie Awards 2024 ceremony, which was held as part of the Riyadh Season 2024 activities.

This prestigious recognition highlights his outstanding contributions to advancing and developing the entertainment sector in Saudi Arabia. In his acceptance remarks, Al-Sheikh attributed this achievement to the Saudi visionary leadership, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support. He also praised the role of Saudi citizens in this accomplishment, which underscores the Kingdom’s global prominence.

The 15th edition of the MENA Effie Awards is being hosted in Saudi Arabia for the first time. The event celebrates innovation and excellence in marketing and advertising across the Middle East and North Africa.

This remarkable achievement follows Al-Sheikh’s February recognition as one of the “Top 50 Most Influential Figures in Boxing and MMA” by the UK’s “The Independent” newspaper, showcasing his influence across multiple global industries.
