November 04, 2024

The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Conference 2024, scheduled for December 4-5 in Riyadh, will act as a pivotal platform to reinforce zakat, tax, and customs compliance across Saudi Arabia through a series of enriching panel discussions and workshops.

Zakat, tax, and customs compliance serve as the foundation of a sustainable and balanced economy. Through the conference's discussions and workshops, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) aims to underscore the role of compliance in promoting fair competition and nurturing a healthy economic environment.

Encouraging compliance among investors, traders, and entrepreneurs fosters economic expansion, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals for a diversified and appealing economy. To support this, ZATCA provides over 130 guidelines to educate taxpayers, offering comprehensive explanations of zakat, tax, and customs terms, along with essential clarifications.

Key conference topics include tax registration mechanisms and the submission of returns. Workshops will guide individuals and businesses through the registration process and demonstrate efficient filing practices, aiming to enhance transparency and ease compliance.

E-invoicing, another conference focus, stands out as a modern solution for simplifying accounting and tax filing, furthering compliance efforts.

Tax compliance is crucial for fostering fair competition within a transparent economic landscape, bolstering local and international investor confidence and promoting a stable business environment. Clear and transparent tax laws provide assurance to foreign investors, strengthening their confidence and encouraging investment in Saudi Arabia’s growing economy.

Held under the patronage of the Minister of Finance and Chairman of ZATCA’s Board, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, the conference will host an esteemed lineup of officials and experts. Together, they will explore innovative solutions and address current and future challenges in zakat, tax, and customs, creating an interactive platform for stakeholders to shape the future of economic sustainability.
