RIYADH The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Saudi Arabia's Women and Energy Association inked on Monday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed to enhance cooperation in capacity building.

The MoU was signed by IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi and Chairwoman of the Board of the Women and Energy Association Princess Mishaal bint Saud AlShalan. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman.

The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in capacity building, with a focus on developing the role of women in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and support innovation in nuclear sciences to achieve a sustainable future, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
