RIYADH — Abdulaziz Al-Hazani, Executive Director of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, awarded the winners of the Riyadh 2024 Dodgeball Championship, which featured competitions in three categories: men, women, and under-16.

The event saw participation from 25 teams comprising 215 players.

The total prize pool for the championship was SR45,000. Teams that secured first place in each category received SR7,000, second place winners earned SR5,000, and third place winners received SR3,000 each.

In the men's competition, the Samurai team clinched the gold medal, the Dark team took silver, and the Shabab Club team won bronze.

For the women's competition, the Doggers team emerged victorious with the gold medal, the Flame team secured silver, and the Raging Fire team earned bronze.

In the under-16 category, the Samurai team won gold, the Insomnia team received silver, and the Rames team took bronze.

Al-Hazani congratulated the winning teams and praised the participation of all teams, highlighting the growing popularity of dodgeball across the Kingdom. He also noted that this expansion is a result of the Federation's efforts to promote and develop the game.

The Saudi Dodgeball Federation is set to host two additional tournaments this September, with events scheduled in Jeddah on Sep. 19 and Dammam on Sep. 26. — SG
