RIYADH —
In a thrilling match at the "Global Combat Tournament" in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Hattan Al-Saif fulfilled her promise and brought another victory to her country. She faced off against Egyptian competitor Eman Baraka in the second round of the inaugural season of the Middle East and Africa Professional Fighters League.

Al-Saif, competing at Riyadh's "Green Halls," received a warm reception from the audience and clinched an exciting win after a fierce battle that led to Baraka, a karate black belt representing the Egyptian national team, withdrawing from the fight.

After the match, Al-Saif stated in a media interview, "I promised Saudi fans to always give my best in upcoming tournaments, and they deserve it."

Her fiancé, Saudi player Abdullah Al-Qahtani, a member of the coaching staff, joined her in the octagon to celebrate—a rare sight in the world of combat sports.

The second round of the tournament features fighters in the lightweight and middleweight categories competing in an innovative knockout playoff format.

Earlier, Al-Saif made history as the first Saudi woman to win a match in the Professional Fighters League (PFL) after signing a formal contract.

She achieved this milestone by defeating Egyptian fighter Nada Fahim with a decisive blow in a match that lasted less than a minute.
