Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — The Transport General Authority (TGA), in collaboration with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), has launched an initiative aimed at enhancing social responsibility and providing suitable food options for people with celiac disease.

Through this initiative, food delivery applications can now offer clear categorizations of gluten-containing and gluten-free foods.

This is intended to facilitate healthier food choices for those with celiac disease.

TGA explained that this step aims to raise community awareness about the importance of providing safe and appropriate food choices for individuals with gluten sensitivity.

The initiative also strives to improve the quality of delivery app services by offering precise and detailed information about food ingredients.

The initiative effectively saves time and effort for people with celiac disease and reflects the TGA's commitment to adopting practices that enhance social responsibility and meet the needs of various segments of society.
