MoU signed to develop human capital in Saudi Arabia's tourism sector

RIYADH
— The Ministry of Tourism and the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop the human capital in the tourism sector in Saudi Arabia.

The MoU was signed by the Undersecretary for Tourism Human Capacity Development at the Ministry of Tourism, Eng. Mohammad bin Moeen Bou Shanaq, and the Deputy Director General of Business at HADAF, Firas bin Abdulaziz Aba Al-Khail.

The MoU aims to enhance joint work between the two parties with regard to vocational guidance, training, qualification, and empowerment in the tourism sector.

It has also identified a number of fields for cooperation, such as launching initiatives that support the local cadre and enhancing the professional sustainability of young men and women in different tourism fields.

The MoU seeks to stimulate the workforce to adopt modern work patterns in tourism professions, in addition to organizing workshops with concerned authorities to introduce programs and initiatives that support the localization of the tourism sector and raise the quality of workers there.

It also seeks to organize periodic job meetings to expedite localization measures and achieve job stability and the scope of work in the tourism sector.

The MoU comes to confirm the keenness of the authorities to localize the sector and enrich it with qualified and trained cadres in accordance with international practices and in line with the aspirations and directives of the Kingdom's wise leadership, in light of the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in supporting localization, job sustainability, and building an economic system with the participation of Saudis in various fields and activities of the labor market.
