TALLINN Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Finland Nisreen bint Hamad Al-Shibel has presented her credentials as non-resident ambassador to Estonia to President Alar Karis of Estonia.

During their meeting in Tallinn, capital of Estonia, Al-Shibel conveyed greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Estonian president. Their talks focused mainly on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Karis said in a statement on his Twitter account that he was grateful for the exchange of views with Al-Shibel. “Estonia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have a strong relationship. We are eager to explore our trade and investment opportunities and our bilateral relations further,” he said.

On her part, Al-Shibel emphasized her commitment to enhance and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Estonia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were established in 2003.

It is noteworthy that Al-Shibel was appointed ambassador of Finland in January this year. Saudi Arabia and Finland have had strong diplomatic and economic relations since 1969, with Riyadh being the Finnish country’s most important export market in the Arabian Gulf region.
