DAMMAM — Brig. Gen. Salem Bin Musallam Al-Sahli drowned in the depths of the sea while trying to rescue his young son in eastern Saudi Arabia.

Al-Sahli died when he was trying to save his young son, who was swimming in Half Moon Bay, located in the east of the Kingdom, near Khobar city.

People interacted on social media with this incident, which talked about the father who sacrificed his life to protect his son from drowning.

They have also prayed for him, while reiterating that he possessed a lovable disposition and had a good personality.

The funeral prayer was performed in Al-Majma’ah Governorate, and the funeral was held at Al-Sahli's home in Al-Jameyen neighborhood on Al-Tuwaijri Street.
