SAFF announces project to document history of Saudi football

RIYADH — The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) announced a project for documenting the history of Saudi football in cooperation with FiFA and under the supervision of the SAFF General Assembly.

Three entities, including SAFF, will be involved in the project: candidate members from among the club’s employees, members of the General Assembly, and international experts in sports documentation nominated by FIFA. In addition, a suitable team will be hired to work on the project.

The mechanism for documenting the history of Saudi Arabian football will be through requesting the clubs and members of the General Assembly to appoint an appropriate person from to represent each club.

After that, the appointed members of the clubs and international experts will determine the working mechanism and a timetable for the project.

The project that chronicles the historical events in Saudi football came because of the importance of documenting the history of Saudi football to be a reference for all future athletes.
