BAGHDAD — The newly designated Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani said on Sunday that his government would adopt a balanced foreign policy with regional and international states.
His office quoted him as saying in a statement that the aspired balanced relations would be on the basis of common interests and would safeguard Iraq's sovereignty.
The statement quoted the newly assigned prime minister as saying, during a reception of the UN representative in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, that his manifesto focuses on utility issues and combating corruption.
