PIONEERING PROTECTION

January 13, 2021

The Saudi Falcons Club continues its drive to speed up the process of the return of falcons to their original habitats. In this regard, the club launched, in participation with the Special Forces for Environmental Security and the National Center for Wildlife Development, the Hadad program in November 2020. The program aims to urge falconers and falcon owners to donate their falcons as part of the club’s bid to preserve the hobby of falconry from disappearing as well as to protect falcons from illegal poaching. Its objectives also include strengthening the Kingdom’s pioneering role in protecting the wildlife and boost the falcon population, in addition to continuous monitoring of the birds of prey with careful study of their behavior in the wild and their ability to adapt. — SPA
