JEDDAH — Egyptian Consul General Adel El-Alfy recently honored Dr. Said Yahya, president of the board of directors of the Egyptian community in western and southern provinces, at the consulate here.
Yahya is a legal attorney who has worked as a professor at Cairo University and King Abdulaziz University. He presently works at Hejailan law firm. El-Alfy presented Yahya with a certificate of appreciation, introduced by Egypt’s Minister of Labor Kamal Abu Eita, for his outstanding efforts in serving the Egyptian community in the Kingdom.
"Dr. Yahya is a prominent figure in his profession yet he has a modest personality," El-Alfy said, adding that Yahya has worked tirelessly for the Egyptian community for 15 years at the expense of his time and health. He thanked him for his services rendered to his Egyptian countrymen.
The consul general also said that this honor was given to him at the seventh general conference for Egyptians "Egypt is in the Heart" held abroad recently.
Yahya said that along with him his fellow board members also deserve to be honored.
"We are all working as a team in the service of the Egyptian community in the Kingdom, which is one of the largest communities worldwide," said Yahya.
He thanked El-Alfy for nominating him for this honor to the Minister of Labor in Egypt.
Members of the Egyptian community, heads of professional associations, labor consul Kamal Abdel Azim and labor attaché Fathi Ismail and other members from the consulate were present at the ceremony.
