KUALA LUMPUR — The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has received required documents from various football national associations, expressing interest in hosting the AFC Asian Cup 2027, ahead of the stipulated deadline.

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), All India Football Federation (AIFF) and Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA), were among those associations that submitted their legal files, host country candidate questionnaire and sponsor non-infringement undertakings, to the AFC.

A national association is required to submit a letter of undertaking meeting the list of requirements for the tournament, by Oct. 30, 2020, as the next stage of the process. Winning bid to host the AFC Asian Cup for 2027, will be announced, in 2021. — SPA
