Much has recently taken place in Saudi Arabia. It started with the Kingdom successfully countering the campaign that targeted the country after the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman visited the northern boarder areas and inaugurated many promising development projects. This was followed by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman’s tour of Arab countries and successful participation in the G20 summit in Argentina. Saudi Arabia hosted a number of international sports events. The GCC Summit was held in Riyadh, and lastly, the fourth anniversary of King Salman’s accession to the throne was celebrated.
This is the fast-paced movement that has taken place in the Kingdom since King Salman came to power and since Crown Prince Muhammad launched Saudi Vision 2030. Fast changes have been witnessed in our society at all levels and this serves to underline the ability of the Saudi people to face challenges and achieve their hopes and ambitions.
Vision 2030 that was once a dream has now been translated into a reality with giant steps forward to achieve the needed reforms and to carry out the needed transformations so the Kingdom will be stronger in facing the future.
Because time does not stop, the coming days are going to bring nothing but further giant steps forward. We, as Saudis, have no choice if we want to achieve our dreams and pave the way for the coming generations to carry the flag of the future. We are not going to be left behind.
Those who understood the challenges that Crown Prince Muhammad was talking about when he launched his vision, now realize that these reforms were the correct choice to face the future.
