JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia U-19 tram recorded its second consecutive victory by beating Bhutan by 43 runs in the second match of Group A of the ICC Under-19 World Cup Asia Division Two qualifiers at Bangkok.
Batting first, Saudi Arabia lost opener Rayyan Azhar with the score at 18. Abdullah Riaz (19), skipper Nawazish Jezuli (17), Ahmed Baladraf (10), Saud (29 not out) and 17 Extras retrieved the position to some extent. The team was bowled out for 97 in 28 overs. Ngawang Thinely claimed 5-21 and GK Ghalley 2-9.
In reply, Bhutan was all out for 54 in 29.4 overs. Only Y. Pradhan (15) and Ngawang Thinely (13) managed double figures. Ahmed Abdul Waheed Baladraf bowled well and took 4 wickets for 7 runs. Naeeem claimed 2 for 10.
Baladraf was declared the player of the match.
After this win Saudi Arabia remains on top in Group A with 4 points.
In other encounters Qatar beat Thailand by 6 wickets, Bahrain downed China by 124 runs and Kuwait thrashed Hong Kong by 8 wickets.
