London — Speaking at the world premiere of the Sir Peter Jackson-movie in London on Tuesday night, the Icelandic actress told the British Press Association that people need to unite to decide the kind of world they want to live in.

“I think there are things happening in the world that are very difficult to take. I hope we can change that and find a way to unite as a whole to keep existing in this world.

“It’s about what do you want for your own good and what do you want for the whole, and maybe that doesn’t always come together, and maybe we need to change our ways of thinking and listening to the world outside of our own world.”

Mortal Engines’ female star Hera Hilmar believes there are societal lessons to drawn from the New Zealand-made fantasy.

The film will be released in Kiwi cinemas on December 6. — Agencies
