JEDDAH — The Saudi Ground Services (SGS) is ready for post Haj operation and to serve the guests of Allah to the utmost.
Omar Al Najjar, CEO Saudi Ground Services (SGS),visited the Haj Terminal at King Abdul Aziz International Airport (KAIA) Jeddah recently to oversee the SGS operational plan.
Speaking to Saudi Gazette, Farrukh Rasheed, member of operation team (SGS), said during the visit Dirk Goovarets COO, Khaled Al-Hammami, chief Haj Operation (Jeddah and Madinah), Abdul Rahman Alomi, director Jeddah Business Unit, Salman Al Amri, deputy GM, and Seraj Al Shafae accompanied him.
He said on visit, the team inspected the readiness for post Haj flight operation, which will start on Friday, Aug. 24.
Najjar appreciated the efforts of the SGS operation team on the successful pre-Haj operation and mentioned that in phase-1, which was completed on 8th Dhul Hijjah, Rasheed added.
Rasheed said SGS served 1,383,744 pilgrims with 1,569,741 pieces of baggage on 5,681 flights at Jeddah and Madinah airports.
After discussing the readiness for post Haj operation (Phase-2) with different departments, Najjar showed his satisfaction and said that for phase-2, with coordination of GACA and other government departments, SGS team is ready to serve the guests of Allah according to the vision of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques.
From Haj Terminal operation team, Reda Komsani, deputy manager, Fawaz Tamim, Rasheed, Bander Labban, Waleed A. Rasheed, Sohail Siddiqui, Darawi and the team of supervisors from various sections, were present.
