Culture Authority, Makkah governorate sign MOU

JEDDAH
— The General Authority for Culture signed on Wednesday a memorandum of understanding with the Governorate of Makkah in the presence of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of the region and adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Abdullah Bin Bandar, deputy emir of Makkah; Prince Mishal Bin Majed, governor of Jeddah; and Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad.

The agreement aims to support cooperation in various cultural fields and promote cultural activities in the region.

For his part, Al-Awwad expressed his thanks and appreciation to Prince Khaled for sponsoring the signing of the memorandum. He lauded the important role played by the prince in supporting the cultural activity and the development of intellectual and cultural development in the region.

The agreement defined areas of cooperation which include facilitating the procedures for organizing events and cultural activities in the Makkah governorate. It also covered developing programs, events, joint cultural activities and implementing them within a specific time plan that contributes to achieving the objectives of the two sides.
