We need a new grand vision for our school curricula, one that involves constant development and the addition of new subjects. Such curricula can help students build a bright future for themselves. We also need to give students practical skills by offering electrical, plumbing and carpentry courses.
Today, most of us rely on plumbers to fix even simple household plumbing issues that we could fix ourselves if we had acquired the knowledge at school. We need such topics to be offered in schools because they teach self-sufficiency by helping students deal with any problems they face at home. I am not saying that students should learn all the skills of a trade but just the basics and if a student decides to become a plumber or electrician in the future, there is no harm in that either. No matter the trade, the future is promising for anyone who undergoes intensive vocational training and education.
