CROWN Prince Muhammad Bin Salman represents more than just his ideas, opinions and personal beliefs. He also represents a political ideology, conviction and a state’s support. Crown Prince Muhammad is a young man who grew up in a modern world during a period that comes with its own problems and it is for these reasons why he insists on moving forward to a brighter future and not looking back at our past. He has led a period of balanced change that does not run counter to our religion, morals and social values. God bless Saudi Arabia and its leaders, as well as its people who are now ready to be one of the best societies from all perspectives!

During his visit to Egypt, Crown Prince Muhammad gave further evidence of the new Saudi thought through a program that revealed a lot about the future. In one day, the crown prince visited Al-Azhar which represents an important Islamic institution in Egypt and all Islamic countries. There, he spoke about moderation, as well as combating extremism in the name of Islam and the role Al-Azhar and other Islamic institutions can play to achieve this.

Crown Prince Muhammad then visited Cairo’s largest Coptic cathedral and met Coptic Pope Tawadros II. They spoke about respecting all religions and its followers while living peacefully and respectfully among them. The pope appreciated the role of the Kingdom concerning this matter. Later in the evening, the crown prince visited the Cairo Opera House to watch a play with a humanitarian message.

These visits were significant because they give us a glimpse into the transformations the crown prince wants to achieve at home. Following a moderate and tolerant religion, rejecting excess and extremism, living in peace and harmony, enjoying life and its experiences and learning from culture and arts are all necessary to the advancement of knowledge that contribute to building a person’s personality. Crown Prince Muhammed Bin Salman’s day was a typical day and the new norm.
