SEVERAL years ago, Isuzu Company conducted a unique experience to demonstrate the fuel economy feature of “Isuzu D-Max” pick-up by driving from the Saudi capital, Riyadh in the central region, to Jeddah at the western coast of the Kingdom without having to stop for refueling, and thus achieving an unprecedented experience that was hailed by many automotive experts.
Isuzu will put D-Max once again in a new similar challenge this year, and drive the pick-up for the longest possible distance; in order to prove the outstanding fuel economy feature of D-Max, in one hand, and to prove the pick-up engine power, durability and efficiency, on the other hand.
The starting point of the first phase will be the new waterfront at the coast of Jeddah in the western region to the Saudi capital, Riyadh. And the second phase starting point will be Riyadh to farthest point that can be reached in the eastern coast with one full fuel tank, which is 76 liters of diesel. The technical team will seal the fuel tank of the pick-up, so that it cannot be opened until the pick-up arrival to its final destination.
After the pick-up arrival to the last point, the total number of the driven kilometer, with one full tank of fuel, will be revealed, thus showing the great fuel economy of Isuzu D-Max pick- up.
The all-new Isuzu D-max features many high-end specifications that combine durability, easy maneuvering, high stability, agility and luxurious cabin that offers high levels of comfort and safety, along with a diesel-driven engine with the lowest emissions rate. D-Max is available in 4X2 and 4X4 variants for the clients to choose.
Over the years, D-Max has achieved great success in the Saudi market. In recognition of its sophisticated and handling features, last year, the truck won the “Best Pick up” award of Saudi Arabia over many competitive pick-up trucks. — SG
