People used to complain about bad driving and would blame the Traffic Police who have, over the past two years, implemented strict rules. Roads in Saudi Arabia used to be like battlefields. Deaths were on the increase, as were the number of people who were injured, and there were huge economic losses.

After taking all this into consideration, Saher was introduced and this resulted in members of the public remaining safe on our roads. Al-Jazirah newspaper recently published a report that showed that the number of accidents in the Kingdom is at an all time low, which is great progress for our country.

The Traffic Department must continue dealing with such things and be strict with people who do not follow the law. No one has the right to complain about this, because discipline will enable us to be safe and who does not want to be safe?

We cannot make it up to those innocent people whose lives were lost because of others who were careless, but at least we can try to prevent bad things from happening in the future. Violators must be punished for their actions so others can learn.
