JEDDAH — Welcoming the festive month of Ramadan, Tashkeil beat the competition by hosting the first Bazar this week at the Creative Space in Jeddah.
Yolanda Perez told Saudi Gazette, the launch took place following the success of Design Road in May and was held as a prelude to Ramadan.
Tashkeil launched the event to highlight the essence of Arab rituals and local culture by teaming up with Saudi designers and local brands.
Sofana Dahlan, founder/CEO of Tashkeil, ensured the event highlighted the craftsmanship of the local community and broke away from the monotonous approach to bazars in the Kingdom.
As Tashkeil’s mission is to promote and bring together designers selling locally, the bazar provided a different perspective to the systematic approach to bringing a group of fashion designers together.
Designers featured at the event were Libra Boutique, Bedia Thobes, Sassy Design, Sarah’s Bag, famous abaya’s from Ta Marbota by Rawan Azhar, contemporary Jungle Blue, Earth and Spirit by Eman Joharjy, Farah Collection, Emona Fashion, Rana Ismail, Muna Abual Faraj among many others. Chocolat and Design Magazine sponsored the event.
Perez said the event served as a platform to help local designers come together to showcase their creations and for the community to actively participate by supporting their talents and helping their businesses grow.
