JEDDAH — Palestinian Airlines flies again from Jeddah to Arish and vice versa to take Palestinians residing in the Kingdom to their home.
For the present, flights will fly twice weekly and it is expected that the number of flights will increase as needed, especially during the high summer season and vacations.
“Re-running Palestinian Airlines is to alleviate the process for Palestinians who wish to visit their families and relatives in the Gaza Strip,” said Emad Shaath, Consul General of the State of Palestine in Jeddah.
“Saudi Arabia has provided all the necessary facilities to re-run the Airlines after a break of several years due to the destruction of Yasser Arafat International Airport in Rafah by the Israeli occupation several years ago.” Shaat added.
Shaath thanked Palestinian Minister of Transport and Communications and Chairman of Palestinian Airlines Dr. Ali Zaidan, for this initiative to restart the Airlines routes to Palestine and his efforts and follow up and facilitate traveling of citizens.
"A contract was done with Sadd Al Salamalagy Travel in Jeddah for ticketing and booking,” Shaat said.
Ahmad Mostafa, director of Sadd Al-Salamalagy Travel, said: “We are proud to be the local agent for the Palestinian national carrier and to facilitate the proccess of traveling for Palestinian residents and pilgrims.”
