El-Fakharany shooting new TV series

CAIRO — Egyptian actor Yehia El Fakhrani is currently shooting his new TV series “Khawaja Abdul Qadir” in several places in Upper Egypt.

Producer Ahmad Al-Jabri said the director has shot 13 hours of footage so far.

The series takes place in Upper Egypt between 1940 and 2006 and focuses on humane and social aspects of the characters.

The show stars Sawsan Badr, Mahmoud Al-Jindi and Salah Abdullah. — SG
