Saudi suffers SR6 million loss, lets expat off the hook

RIYADH — A Saudi businessman dropped charges against an Egyptian man under his sponsorship who was allegedly responsible for arranging an investment that left the Saudi SR6 million lighter, a local daily reported. The man said he dropped the case for the sake of Egypt and its people. The two had been involved in lengthy negotiations with the Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh acting as an arbitrator. The man waived his rights to any claims and the Egyptian is expected to be a free man soon. — SG
