New bureau to gather poverty data

The Ministry of Social Affairs recently announced it is in the final stages of setting up a unified bureau that will gather poverty data in the Kingdom.

HAIL — The Ministry of Social Affairs recently announced it is in the final stages of setting up a unified bureau that will gather poverty data in the Kingdom.



All charities operating in the country will be linked to the bureau that will store the IDs of citizens who live below the poverty line in a database, according to the director of social affairs in Hail.



There are 617 charity organizations in the Kingdom, 38 of which help exclusively women. The number of private charities in the country stands at 89.
