MADINAH — Inspectors in the Municipality of Madinah have discovered a warehouse located near a farm at Al-Khazraj District in Madinah that has been used for storing medicines.

According to sources, when officials inspected the premises they discovered a large quantity of pharmaceutical products and herbal medicines unlicensed by the Ministry of Health.

Muhammad Bin Abdullah Sulahim, Mayor of Madinah, said the supervisors acted on a tip off by a citizen who had noticed suspicious movement in the area.

Sulahim said the authorities in charge at the municipality had reported the matter to the Health Directorate and Civil Defense Administration and security personnel were dispatched to the scene.

Samples from the seized goods confirmed that the products were indeed unlicensed. He said the inspectors have sealed off the warehouse until the authorities concerned receive the full analysis report.
