LOS ANGELES
— Pop stars Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber and Fergie will battle it out for the top prize at a prestigious fragrance awards ceremony later this month.

Beyonce’s Pulse, Aguilera’s Royal Desire and Bieber’s female scent Someday will go head-to-head with Fergie’s Outspoken Intense and supermodel Heidi Klum’s Shine for the Consumers’ Choice Fragrance of the Year trophy at America’s annual FiFi Awards.

But it will be a good night for Bieber whether the 18-year-old wins the top honor or not — he’s set to receive the 2012 Elizabeth Taylor Fragrance Celebrity of the Year Award, which celebrates stars for their ongoing successes in the industry.

The thrilled pop sensation, who donates the proceeds from his perfume to charity, says, “I am honored to be named Elizabeth Taylor Fragrance Celebrity of the Year. It means a lot to me that my fans and The Fragrance Foundation support all my accomplishments. — AFP
