Menna gets paid seven million Egyptian pounds

CAIRO — An Arabic daily reported that the Egyptian star Menna Shalaby will be paid seven million Egyptian pounds for her part in “Forgotten Souls.”

The show revolves around the miserable lives of people stuck in a rut. Their bleak futures are transformed by a newcomer who comes and inspires them all to build better lives for themselves.

The series features a number of Egyptian and Syrian stars such as Ezzat Al-Alayli, Firas Ibrahim, Mirna Al-Mohandes, Madline Tabar, Ayeda Riyad, Marwah Ahmad and Majdi Badr. — SG
